FAQs

Who should complete the Pathway Assessment?

The assessment is designed for students in Grades 9–12, as well as students preparing for university admissions or career planning. We include parents or guardians to also complete a questionnaire and attend consultations with the student so we can better understand both perspectives.

How long does the assessment take?

The questionnaire takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete. After reviewing your responses, we schedule two personalized strategy consultations, one with the student and one with the parent, lasting 30 minutes each to discuss academic directions and answer your questions. Once both the student and parent(s) have been consulted, we take 5-7 business days to analyze your responses and generate a Personalized Pathway Report for you that is reviewed together in a 45-minute meeting with both the the student and parent(s).

Do I need to know what I want to study before meeting with an advisor?

Not at all. Many students are still exploring their interests. Our advisors help students identify their strengths, interests, and career possibilities before recommending university programs that best fit their goals.

What happens during the consultation sessions?

Our advisors carefully review your questionnaire responses before your consultation. During the session, we'll discuss:

  • Your academic strengths and areas for improvement

  • Recommended university pathways

  • Potential majors and career options

  • Extracurricular development

  • A personalized action plan based on your goals

What documents should I prepare before my consultation?

If available, we recommend bringing:

  • Your most recent report card or transcript

  • Resume

  • List of extracurricular activities

  • Standardized test scores (if applicable)

  • Any questions or concerns you'd like to discuss

These documents help us provide more personalized recommendations.

Is my personal information kept confidential?

Yes. All information you provide is used solely for advising and consultation purposes. Your personal information and assessment results are kept confidential and are never shared with third parties without your consent.
